I join many of Ghanaians to congratulate and welcome Her Ladyship Justice Sophia Akuffo on her appointment as the 13th Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Your over 40 years skills and rich experience in the Judiciary Arm of Government coupled with your about 22 years service as a Justice of the Supreme Court (As one of the longest serving justice at the bench), makes you the most suitable person in my opinion for this noble task.
His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo was very precise in enumerating your unique virtues and I quote;
“She has impressed me remarkably for her hard work, her capacity for detailed research, her independence of mind and spirit, her honesty and integrity, her deep seated respect for the rule of law and her abiding believe in the sovereignty of the Almighty God.”
I wish you the very best and pray you continue the very remarkable pedestal your predecessor has taken the Judiciary.
