Dr Oko Vanderpuye said he has the ability to improve the economic life of traders, including fish mongers, fishermen and all business minded persons in the constituency if he is given the opportunity.
He said this over the weekend, during the launch of his campaign in the constituency.
He said the constituents should consider his experience on the field as the Mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), saying that, “my work as the AMA Mayor has given me the needed experience and had prepared me for parliament”.
He said he can make quality contributions in parliament to enhance local governance.
Dr Oko Vanderpuye told the people that he has the connections and experience to tap into resources both locally and internationally and also bring investors directly to Ablekuma South to promote development.
“I also believe that I am capable of creating jobs for the youth of this constituency and ensure economic empowerment and socio-cultural development.”
“My operations have given me so much value and experience for the work and the list of what I can do for you is endless, therefore I am asking the constituents to believe and trust in me for transformation”.
The Aspiring MP also expressed his belief that the constituents would not turn their back on a quality candidate like him, adding that, two people, a businessman and an Assembly member had decided to back out of the contest and join forces with him to succeed because of his capabilities.
Dr Oko Vanderpuye expressed gratitude to the constituents for their great turnout at his campaign launch and said he is prepared to work for the people of Ablekuma South for a better change.
“You have gathered here as if it is a campaign for the 2016 general elections, meanwhile it is only for the primaries, and I am sincerely grateful to you for that”.
