Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu offers free EV trotro rides from 37 to Abeka Lapaz as Afro-Arab goes green. This initiative is to help Ghanaians during this holidays to ease traffic and help stranded passengers for free.

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu has once again demonstrated his strong commitment to community welfare and environmental sustainability by sponsoring free Electric Vehicle (EV) trotro rides for commuters along the 37 to Abeka Lapaz route in Accra.

The initiative, organized under the banner of Afro-Arab, aimed to ease the transportation burden on daily commuters while promoting clean, affordable, and eco-friendly mobility within Ghana’s public transport sector. Beneficiaries of the free EV trotro rides expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as significant relief amid rising transportation costs.

Speaking on the initiative, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu explained that the gesture forms part of Afro-Arab’s broader “Afro-Arab Is Green” agenda, which seeks to encourage shared transportation, reduce carbon emissions, and support sustainable urban mobility through the adoption of electric vehicles.

According to him, the integration of electric vehicles into public transport plays a critical role in reducing traffic-related pollution and environmental degradation in major cities, while also fostering innovation and modernization within Ghana’s transport system.

The free EV trotro ride initiative also aligns with Afro-Arab’s ongoing corporate social responsibility programmes, which focus on community empowerment, youth engagement, job creation, and environmental advocacy.

Many commuters along the route welcomed the initiative and called for similar EV-driven interventions to be sustained nationwide, noting that such efforts not only provide financial relief but also promote a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable urban environment.

The buses are also available for sale which can be used by private and corporate institutions, and the good news is you can buy with 40 percent minimum down payment and the remaining balance spread for 3 years, 36 months, without interest.
