Musician Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour has been sworn into office as President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) for another four-year term.

He polled some 88 votes to beat off competition from contenders Gyedu Blay Ambolley, 22, and Appiah Dankwa, a.k.a Appietus, 18.

The elections took place at the Oyinka Hotel in the Eastern Region and was attended by several personalities who matter in the creative and arts industry in Ghana.

The congress was held from October 29 and ended today. The 6th Quadrennial congress was under the theme: Developing The Music Industry, The Role Of An Effective Union.

Daily View Gh indicated that the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare graced the occasion with her presence.
