An old woman in the in Northern Ghana says she wishes to lie on a mattress before she dies.
Joynews team went to a village of in Northern Ghana to shot a report on the level of poverty there for their documentary titled ‘Face of Poverty’
Featuring prominently in the feature is a blind old widow who have been living in abject poverty all her life.
Speaking to Joynews, Yaya Kwanjit she got blind after giving birth to her second child. The old lady doesn’t know her age but she said poverty has made her older than her actual age.
Yaya Kwanjit said her only wish on Earth is to sleep on a mattress before she dies.
