I’m confident the truth will soon come out – Charles Bissue speaks

The government official captured allegedly taking bribe in a recent undercover piece ‘Galamsey Fraud’ put together by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has broken his silence.

Mr. Charles Cromwell Bissue said the full truth in the controversy about his involvement in the documentary would be known soon.

“I have decided not to make any comment surrounding the issue but since you have called me, I would like to tell you that I am innocent and I can never take bribe. The truth will soon come out,” he stated on Accra based Neat FM.

The Presidential Staffer after presenting himself to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service for questioning Friday, March 15, 2019, is demanding the unedited footage of the video from Mr Anas and his team.

He is insisting that he is innocent and said he had been cooperating fully with investigators.

“A lot of public misconceptions have been created and wild allegations have been put out there since this incident but I would like to assure the public that I am innocent,” he stated.

Mr. Bissue stressed that while he cannot explain details of the matter to the public, he will allow the due legal processes to continue and is hopeful that “the full truth will be known.”
