The Deputy Communication Officer For Ablekuma South Mr. William Amenuvor Writes.

I believe that ethnicity, regionalism and balance play a critical role in winning elections in this country. Hon. Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije balances fantastically with any other person going into the 2020 elections as a Vice Presidential Candidate.

As a typical Ga man in the Greater Accra Region, he is well placed electorally. Any elections observer will tell you that the Greater Accra Region is becoming, if not has become, the region that decides the winner of elections in Ghana.

In fact, the region has become very important for the NDC. Since 2004, the party has been drawing the largest of its votes from the Greater Accra Region.

In the 2004 general elections, the NDC pulled 811,863 votes from the Greater Accra Region being the highest of all the other regions.

In the 2008 general elections, the figure shot up to 870,011 votes and that was the highest again of all the other regions.

In the 2012 general elections, the figure ballooned to 1,125,751 and was again the highest of all the other regions.

Then in 2016, the figure declined marginally to 912, 216 but was still the highest of all the other regions. Statistically, Greater Accra Region is becoming or has become the strongest hold of the NDC in terms of popular votes.

History has it that the NDC has never fielded a person of Ga extraction as either a Presidential or a Vice Presidential Candidate.

To improve our electoral fortunes and to win the 2020 elections hands down, it will be worth the while to get a person of Ga extraction with a track record and solid credentials both within NDC to partner JM, that person undoubtedly is Hon. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije.

JM and OV the perfect per for victory 2020
