U-17 WWC: Ghana’s Mukarama Abdulai wins Golden Boot

Ghana captain Mukarama Abdulai has won the Golden Boot after finishing as top scorer of the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

She also collected the Adidas Bronze Ball (third best player) behind Spain’s Claudia Pina and Nicole Perez of Mexico.

The Northen Ladies star netted seven goals in four matches at the tournament held in Uruguay.

Abdulai has become Ghana’s all-time top scorer in FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup history surpassing Jane Ayieyam’s six goals scored in 2012.

Last week, the 16-year-old was included in 15 nominees for the African Women’s Player of the Year award.

Spain were crowned champions after beating Mexico 2-1 in the final on Saturday.
