The Second Lady, Samira Bawumia has thanked Ghanaians for the kind words and prayer for her husband.
The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was flown to the United Kingdom for medical attention after he took ill last week. A Statement from the Flagstaff house indicated that he was sent to the United Kingdom on medical leave.
The Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid subsequently assured Ghanaians that the Vice President was doing very well but indicated that the move to take him to the United Kingdom was to ensure that he gets enough rest and not be bothered by relatives and friends who will be worried about him.
But in a post on Facebook telling Ghanaians that her husband was doing very well and thanking Ghanaians for their prayer and support, Samira assured Ghanaians that Bawumia is doing very well and will fly back to the country very soon.
