Joe Mettle made history as the first Gospel artiste to win the top award ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards.
Mettle beat competition from acts including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Medikal. He also won Best Male Vocalist of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year.
The 2017 Ghana Music Awards took place at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
The 18th edition of the awards scheme was hosted by Anita Erskine.
