Lawyers for NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey Korle, Nii Armah Ashitey, are claiming that they are being followed by some unknown persons.
They have, therefore, written to the court hearing the case in which the eligibility of Dr. Zanetor Rawlings to contest parliamentary primaries of the governing National Democratic Congress in the constituency is being challenged.
Lead lawyer, Gary Nimako Marfo requested that the case be adjourned whilst he makes extra security arrangements to protect himself and his family.
“We wish to humbly bring to the attention of the Honourable Court that counsel for the plaintiffs has in recent times been trailed by some unknown persons when driving home after close of work,” the letter.
It added that when he stopped to make a complaint to the police, “the said unknown persons immediately drove off.”
After receiving the letter, the court adjourned hearing to March 9, 2016.
