Traders at the Kumasi Central Market whose goods were destroyed by fire outbreak at the beginning of this month have rejected some gifts which were presented to them by a Deputy Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer of the NDC.
According to the traders, the items presented to them by Hajia Hajara Saddick will not help them in any way and so they have no option than to return the items.
The items which were presented to them include bags of maize, bags of rice, used clothing and mattresses.
Speaking to Adom News’ Isaac Normenyo, Queen mother of the Yam Sellers Association Kate Yaa Adwubi, said they need government to re-build their shops and not what she describes as ‘petty’ items.
They have therefore asked her to come back for the items or they will return them to the regional office.
