20 confirmed dead in Kintampo Falls accident

Seventeen of the victims are said to have died on the spot while three others died later on admission at the Kintampo Hospital.

Majority of the victims are thought to be students of the Wenchi Senior High School.

President Akufo-Addo has extended condolences to families of the victims.

A number of trees came tumbling down during torrid rains Sunday, leading to the accident President Akufo-Addo described as sad, unfortunate and tragic.
