More than ten (10) persons have been confirmed dead and 30 others left with various degrees of injuries after an Accra bound VIP bus from Kumasi in the Ashanti region was involved in an accident at Pampaso near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
It is not immediately known what caused the vehicle to veer off the main road into the bush resulting in the fatalities.
At the time of filing this report, there were calls for ambulances from Accra and Koforidua to help rush the injured persons to various health facilities considering the numbers involved.
According to eyewitnesses account, the driver appeared to have lost control in an attempt to overtake another vehicle and in the process of gaining some stability, run into the bush leading to the crash.
Among the dead persons including some children.
Bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at the Nsawam Government Hospital
